Salisbury, MD – A team that is good enough to play in the NCAA Tournament is a team that normally has individual achievement awarded. That was the case on Tuesday when the Salisbury University Women’s Lacrosse team dominated Capital Athletic Conference honors.
Senior Megan Wallenhorst was named CAC co-Player of the Year and Jim Nestor won Coach of the Year for a fourth consecutive season. Wallenhorst has been an offensive force for the Sea Gulls, scoring 25 and assisting on 37 goals.
Juniors Gabbi Nieves and Kayla Miller and sophomore Gianna Falcone also earned first-team All-CAC honors, while junior Kacy Koolage was named to the second team.
Salisbury will learn details of the NCAA Tournament during the May 8 selection show.
