Another Big Ten Game For Delaware State

December 22, 2016 Posted by Matt Pencek Delaware State, Featured Sports, Regional Sports

With just over 12 minutes remaining in the first half Monday night at Indiana, Delaware State trailed the Hoosiers by just five points at 22-17.  For the remainder of the half, the Hornets were outscored 32-17 all part of a 103-56 loss .

Tonight Delaware State takes another shot at a team from the Big Ten with a game at Iowa.  Similar situation for the Hawkeyes as they will play their second MEAC team this season.  Iowa won a high scoring affair against Savannah State 116-84 on Nov. 13.

The Hornets shot only 33.3% from the floor at Indiana and just 53.3% from the free throw line.  Delaware State did not even attempt a free throw in the second half against the Hoosiers.

Four of the five projected starters against Iowa are averaging double figures in points with Devin Morgan leading the way with 12.9 ppg.
