Winning seasons and playoff appearances are the norm for the Cambridge South Dorchester football program. Perhaps a reason why head coach Jake Coleman continues to produce victories is that he continues to seek improvement. Even in a 2015 campaign that featured a playoff win, Coleman has a specific area that will be his focus this season.
“We were getting beat up in 2015 and we want to make sure that does not happen this year,” Coleman said. “We spent more time in the weight room and more time concentrating on the power lifts.”
In addition to increasing his team’s strength, Coleman will have a new starting quarterback as junior Tyler Harding is expected to run the offense. Run will be key with Tre’ Lake who averaged 7.9 yards per carry and scored 24 touchdowns on the ground.
