For Magnolia’s Duron Harmon and Delmar’s Alex Ellis, the first practice of their 2018 NFL training camps begin on July 26. On Saturday, the two took time-off from their limited break to help connect middle school and elementary school football players with those in the NFL. The Duron Harmon Football Camp was held in Newark at Hodgson High School.
“A lot of these kids were able to talk and nitpick off of some coaches and NFL players, Harmon said. “I want to get the campers around people who sacrificed and worked as hard as anybody else to get where they were and accomplished their goals.”
Harmon is set to begin his sixth season with the Patriots. He had the only interception of Super Bowl 52. In March, Ellis was acquired by the Chiefs after his release by the Saints.
