The Marching Ravens are looking for musicians. The iconic marching band is holding auditions Saturday, March 24th at Owings Mills High School. The band is a big part of the Baltimore’s pro football scene with it’s roots linked to the original Colts of the All-American Football Conference. As the NFL grew in popularity so did the band, then known as the Baltimore Colts Marching Band. When the Colts left for Indianapolis after the 1983 season, the Baltimore Colts Marching Band remained in existence, performing at many events and providing a reminder of the Colts glory days. That commitment was document in the ESPN 30 For 30 The Band That Wouldn’t Die.
In 1996 Art Modell moved his version of the Cleveland Browns to Baltimore, the franchise and band took on new names. Click here for more information about the audition.
