BALTIMORE, MD – The Crisfield boys soccer team came up one win shy of completing a dream season.
The Crabbers lost to North Carroll, 3-1 on Saturday afternoon in the 1A State Championship game.
The Panthers opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a goal by Austin Cooper.
In the second half, North Carroll would convert a penalty kick to grab a two goal advantage.
Crisfield would finally get on the board about three minutes later when Bruce Emely scored off a free kick.
The Panthers would ice the game with about four minutes left in the game scoring on a header.
The Crabbers were playing in their first state championship game since 1977.
