College Park, MD – The Maryland 3A High School Basketball semifinal match-up between Stephen Decatur and Baltimore Polytech featured an individual battle between the schools two division I bound post players. Because Polytech’s De’Vondre Perry (committed to Temple) won his duel with the Seahawks Keve Aluma (signed with Wofford), for the second season in a row Decatur leaves College Park without a state title, losing 74-44. Putting Decatur’s final season record at 25-2
Outside or inside, Perry was a force as he scored 33 points including 6-10 from three-point territory. Perry also grabbed nine rebounds.
For most of the first half, Aluma was the Decatur offense scoring nine of the Seahawks’ first 13 points. Aluma finished with a respectable double/double 19 points and 11 rebounds.
