While playing at Wesley, Matt Gono made an impact as a Division III football All-American offensive lineman. Now he has the attention of the NFL. On March 23rd Gono held a pro day for approximately 20 scouts. “I could tell they were definitely trying to work me out and push and test my conditioning,” Gono said. “It was a really good workout, a really hard workout.”
After a strong effort at January’s NFLPA College Bowl. Several media outlets reported that Gono was the best offensive player among those who participated in the event. His work-out last week puts into play the possibility Gono could hear his name called the end of April at the NFL Draft. Gono said the scouts were impressed with his 9′ 10″ mark in the broad jump.
The NFL Draft takes place April 26 – 28 in Arlington, TX.
