DOVER, Del.- Delaware State women’s lacrosse head coach Pamella Jenkins has announced that 12 current high school seniors have signed scholarship offers to attend the university and compete for the Hornets beginning in the 2020-21 season. It marks the biggest signing class since the program’s first season in 2013. The list includes six defenders, three attackers, two at midfield and one listed at two positions.
“I’m extremely pleased with the quality of players who have committed to join our program,” said Jenkins, whose first season with the Hornets was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic. “Most of the young ladies we have signed for next season were multi-sport athletes in high school and have the potential to contribute right away.”
Jenkins added, I’m equally impressed with the character and academic credentials of these young women, and how much love they have expressed for DSU. Each should be a good fit for the team and the university.”
