RICHMOND, Va. — University of Delaware sophomore guard Kory Holden was named the Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week on Monday following his performance at Boston College.
Holden scored a career-high 35 points against the Eagles, going 12 of 26 from the field, 6 of 13 from behind the arc and 5 of 6 from the foul line. The Salisbury, Md. native also finished with three rebounds, two assists and two steals while not committing a turnover in 35 minutes of action.
Holden, who surpassed his previous career-high by eight points, eclipsed the 20-point mark for the fourth time this season and now leads the team with a 17.8 scoring average. He ranks third in the CAA in points and assists per game, and is sixth with both 2.6 three-pointers made per game and a 2.1 assist/turnover ratio.
Holden, a four-time CAA Rookie of the Week honoree a year ago, shared weekly honors with Ron Curry of James Madison.
