MASN Announces Spring Training Schedules for Nationals, Orioles

BALTIMORE– With spring training fast approaching, MASN has announced its schedule for the broadcasts of the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals.

The network will broadcast seven games for both teams, beginning with the Orioles’ Feb. 23 contest against the Tampa Bay Rays in Sarasota, Fla.

The Nationals will open up their Grapefruit League slate on Feb. 25 against the Atlanta Braves. The world champion Houston Astros will make their appearance at the ballpark of the palm beaches on March 6 for the network’s second Nationals broadcast.

Additionally, the defending division champion New York Yankees will travel to Ed Smith Stadium on Wednesday, March 14 at 1 p.m., while the Boston Red Sox will travel to Sarasota to play the O’s.

The Nationals are coming off a year in which they went 97-65, ending the regular season campaign with yet another National League East Championship and a playoff berth for the fourth time in the last six seasons.

The Orioles Struggled last season, going 75-87 and placing last in the American League East Division.

Both teams will open up the regular season on March 29, with the Orioles at home in Baltimore against the Twins, while the Nationals will travel to Cincinnati to take on the Reds.

The two teams will meet for the Battle of the Beltways twice. the first three game series will take place in Baltimore May 28-30, and then again in D.C. June 19-21.
