Chris Davis’ stay with the Shorebirds was brief, one game and four at bats. Davis is scheduled to return from the disabled list for the Orioles Friday game in Camden Yards against the Chicago Cubs. He heads to Baltimore with little momentum. Davis went 0-4 Wednesday night in the Birds game against Lexington. His first two at bats resulted in a swinging strike out and a weak ground out to second.
Davis also struck out twice in a Monday appearance with high class A, Frederick. In 61 games with the Orioles, Davis belted 14 home runs. Ten of those occurring in the 30 days prior to his placement on the disabled list. Davis has been dealing with a right oblique strain.
