Five months after retiring due to a congenital spine and neck condition, linebacker Zach Orr is considering a comeback. On Wednesday, the 25 year old former Raven appeared on the NFL Network and said he misses playing.
“Now that I actually had a taste of maybe the game being taken away from me, I’m even more hungry to play,” Orr said.
Orr said he has received multiple opinions about his condition and feels confident that a return to the NFL will not put him at higher risk for injury than any other player.
Orr is a free agent. He made the Ravens as an undrafted rookie in 2014. Orr started 15 games in 2016.
