One of the best young competitive rifle shooters in nation will take those talents to the college level. Morgan Phillips signed a letter of intent today on a scholarship for West Virginia University’s Rifle team.
Phillips is currently a senior at The Salisbury School. In April, she won a gold medal at the National Junior Olympic Championships. Three months later at the USA Shooting National Rifle Championships, Phillips placed second in the junior 3-position small-bore rifle.
She will join one the top collegian programs in the nation. The Mountaineers have won 16 national championships and are ranked third in the latest College Rifle Coaches Association poll.
