Port St. Lucie, FL – Less than two months after Tim Tebow played in his only game at Perdue Stadium against the Shorebirds, he is moving up the New York Mets farm system and is scheduled to make his first appearance on Tuesday for the Florida State League affiliate.
Tebow batted only .222 with three homeruns in for Columbia of the South Atlantic League. Port St. Lucie is considered a higher level of Class A minor league baseball.
The 29 year old is returning to the state where he experienced success in college football, winning the 2007 Heisman Trophy at the University of Florida. The following season he led the Gators to the National Championship.
