DOVER, Del. – Maryland Terrapins red-shirt defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson will forgo his senior year to declare for the 2016 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-3-inch Pittsburgh native started all 12 games and led the team with 39 tackles. Jefferson ranked second on the team in sacks with 6.5. He was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten by league coaches.
“The past five years at Maryland have been truly the best time of my life,” said Jefferson. “I am very thankful for all the opportunities the University of Maryland has given me, and look forward to graduating this weekend.”
Jefferson will graduate with a degree in family science.
