Salisbury – Chris Tillman lasted over an inning longer in his rehab start with the Shorebirds than he did last week pitching for Aberdeen. Monday at Perdue Stadium, Tillman went 3 1/3rd innings, throwing 62 pitches. He struggled in the first inning giving up two runs on four hits before retiring eight of the last nine batters he faced.
“Once I got comfortable I was able to execute for the most part,” Tillman said after he left the game. “I made some bad pitches but I made a lot more good pitches than bad.”
In May the Orioles placed Tillman on the disabled list. The month and a half he spent with the Orioles were similar to his injury shortened 2017 season. In 2018 Tillman has one win in six decisions and an ERA of 10.46
