Melo Trimble has been the face of the Maryland basketball program since arriving at College Park. He has led the Terps in scoring in each of his three seasons including a 17.0 ppg in 2016-17.
Trimble has also led Maryland to the NCAA Tournament the past three years. Prior, the Terrapins had a four year drought. “He’s a winner and and we’ve won a lot since he’s been here,” Terrapin Head Coach Mark Turgeon said. “He’s changed the face of our program.”
Maryland earned in sixth seed in this year’s tournament. The Terps will face Xavier in the first round on Thursday in Orlando, FL at 6:50 PM.
