Two To The FBS For North Caroline Football

June 6, 2017 Posted by Matt Pencek Featured Sports, Football, Local Sports

Ridgely, MD – Prior to June 6, 2017 no North Caroline High School football player committed to a scholarship from one of college football’s power conferences or universities. Now the Bulldog program can claim two, as defensive tackle Ja’Mion Franklin verbally committed to Notre Dame and running back David Bailey did the same to Boston College.

“There is a sense of relief when you finally commit and make that decision,” Franklin said.

“It just felt like I needed to be there (Boston College),” Bailey said. “There was no reason to wait. If I knew I was going there I was going to commit early.”

Both are rated as 3 Star recruits (on a scale of 1-5) by several national recruiting outlets. Franklin and Bailey have their senior high school season to play at North Caroline. Both players have been big contributors to the Bulldogs recent run of back-to-back playoff appearances.
