Wichita, KS – The honors continue to roll the way of Thashania Seraus. On Wednesday, she was named runner-up for the International Bowling Media Associations Collegiate Bowler of the Year. It is the second consecutive season she has finished second for the award.
It was part of an event welcoming the 32 teams (16 men and 16 women) competing this week at the Intercollegiate Team Championships.
Seraus was already named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Year and a First-Team All-Conference selection and last week was named a National Tenpins Coaches Association (NTCA) First-Team All-American. She averaged just over a 211 for the year. Seraus carries a better than 50% strike percentage and a better than 75% spare percentage, with the latter leading the nation.
UMES is attempting to win the school’s sixth National Championship.
