Elijah Allen led the senators with 19 points in their 48 to 45 loss to the Warriors. Early on the Warriors asserted control Hassan Perkins racking up 9 points as Sanford led 24 to 19 going into the Half.
Coming back from halftime the Senators looked rejuvenated with Eden Davis netting a buzzer beater 3 going into the 4th quarter. Elijah Allen was on fire netting 11 points in the 4th leading the team to what looked to be a brand new state championship. But a Corey Perkins double put the Senators on the ropes with a 3 point deficit with 3 seconds to go. Eden Davis attempted to recreate the magic of the 3rd period but his shot hit the rim.
Sanford crowned themselves State Champions at The Bob. Congratulations to the Warriors on the win….and the Senators for a spectacular season and lots of great highlights and memories.
