A 17-1 regular season record helped Smyrna earn a number two seed in the Delaware High School State Softball Tournament. In their 18 games, the Eagles pitched 6 shutouts. In addition, Smyrna scored ten runs or more in nine games. The Eagles are matched-up with 15 seed Polytech in the Saturday May 19th first round.
Defending State Champion, Milford was the last team to make the field of 16. It is a path familiar for the Buccaneers. Milford won the 2017 title as an 11th seed. Milford will play at top seed Caravel in the first round.
