Joe Flacco is ready to go for the 2016 season. The Ravens quarterback says he will be on the field this Saturday, July 23 for the first scheduled workouts of rookies and veteran players who had injuries.
Flacco’s injury occurred in the 10th game of the season. He tore his ACL and MCL in a Nov. 22 win over the Rams. Flacco had surgery on December 8. He did not participate in the Ravens’ June minicamp. He stated he could play if it were a game day scenario. Since that minicamp, Flacco has spent the past month working out at the Owings Mills, Md. facility.
“I’m going to be here around the building and continue to work out,” Flacco said. “There’s a couple of guys in the building. They will be around here and we’ll be able to throw together. I’m going to ramp that part of it up a little bit more just so my arm goes into camp ready to go.”
