It may have taken until the reveal of the final few brackets of the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Show, but it ended up being a good start to Monday afternoon at Salisbury University. The Seagulls are headed back to the NCAA Tournament for a consecutive season.
Salisbury’s season continues under first year head coach Andrew Sachs when they play Middlebury on Friday March 4. The Seagulls finished the regular season ranked 23rd in the nation. On Saturday, Salisbury lost in overtime in the CAC Championship Game 68-67 at Christopher Newport, putting their return to the tournament somewhat in doubt.
“I knew once Scranton got called I felt pretty good. They were behind us in the region,” Sachs said after watching the selection.
